Jason and Suzy Wraines of Wraines Photography have pets of their own, so they understand how each pet has their own personality. Cee Cee is the full of energy and love Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. Did I say FULL of energy! Bella is the snuggle, I love squeaker toys Beagle/Pug mix. Bella would spend all day squeaking her toys if she had a choice. Jason and Suzy rescued her at the young age of 7. Kanga and Lydia are the house cats with their own way of loving. Kanga will snuggle with you as much as you let him. He thinks he is a dog. Lydia is more I’m independent. If she lets you pet her you have won, the lottery.
Now let’s talk about pet photography in Phoenix. We all know it’s hot. If you plan on having your pet’s photographs taken outdoors at a park, desert scape, hiking trail, or other location outdoors make sure you bring plenty of water. For the best pet photography make sure the location is your pet’s favorite place to go. It’s important to be in a location that will bring out your pet’s personality for the best photographs. Wraines Photography also will come to your home since this is the place that is most comfortable for you and your pet and makes amazing pet photographs
Tips from the Photographers:
Everybody is used to seeing their pets from above, so photos from that angle may not be as striking. For best results, shoot them in their world—from way down at their level. In Phoenix we find there are many things outside that can distract your pets. GRAB THEIR ATTENTION! When we wish to have them hold still, we use tricks such as this simple trick: let them play quietly and, once we’re ready with our camera aimed and our finger on the shutter, then and only then we call for your dog’s attention.
Focus on the Eyes. Making eye contact with our furry friends is important communication. Don’t stress out. Pets obviously can’t follow specific instructions unless they’re trained by a professional. At the same time, they’re known to absorb human energy, so if you end up getting stressed out or frustrated, they’ll sense it and will begin to mirror your feelings. The more relaxed you are the more relaxed your pet will be to get the perfect photograph.
Don’t forget to reward the model after the photography session. To most of us our pets are our children. We love our furry children, and when our children do something good we like to reward them. We at Wraines Photography of Phoenix also like to reward our models after working hard to look good for us. We look forward to meeting you and your furry companion(s)!
